Lowell General Hospital serves the residents of greater Lowell which includes the city of Lowell as well as the towns of Billerica, Chelmsford, Dracut, Dunstable, Pepperell, Tewksbury, Tyngsborough, and Westford. The greater Lowell community has a population of approximately 300,000 people.

MVEA has been a stable fixture in Lowell providing staffing for the Emergency Department at Lowell General Hospital for over 40 years and enjoys a close relationship with nursing, other medical staff members, as well as with hospital administration.
