PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT & NURSE PRACTITIONER FELLOWSHIP

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Fellowship is a 54 week Emergency Medicine post-graduate clinical experience in Lowell, Massachusetts.  It is designed to refine and expand the procedural skills and clinical expertise that are necessary to succeed in the field of Emergency Medicine.  It is specifically designed for a newly graduated APP or an APP who is transitioning from another field of medicine to emergency medicine.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The program consists of direct patient care experience in our two Emergency Departments at Lowell General Hospital.  In addition, there is monthly didactic instruction as well as mentorship by our experienced physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.

CLASS SIZE & GRADUATION

MVEA accepts two applicants into its fellowship yearly.  Fellowships are staggered with one applicant beginning in June/July and the other beginning in December/January.

Upon successful completion of the program fellows receive a certificate from MVEA & Lowell General Hospital.  This indicates a high level of knowledge and skill in Emergency Medicine which should make fellows more competitive for Emergency Medicine positions throughout the country
